C.T.L Neo Type 1st Sakiori Jacket Tsuzure Indigo

C.T.L Neo Type 1st Sakiori Jacket Tsuzure Indigo

An advanced interpretation of a Type 1 denim jacket, rendered in a handwoven sakiori cloth, imprinting the DNA of past fragments into the foundation of a new whole. Features a classic collar, a button closure left chest pocket, a pleated front stabilized with natural hemp cord, a buckle-back waist cinch, and engineer's cuffs. The familiar, iconic silhouette is softened here with the pliable, blanket-like quality of the sakiori. Constructed using chain stitched flat felled seams and completed with a raw hem for a long lasting finish that highlights the innate artisinality within the sakiori cloth; embossed tack buttons throughout, kintsugi button at the pocket.

Cottle's Sakiori cloth is hand woven using remnant fabric strips from seasons past in a mix of indigo and persimmon dyes. The resulting irregularly striped cloth bears a plush hand that remains cool to the touch and breathable in warm conditions; it bears a rich texture interspersed with trailing yarns from the fragments used in weaving. With wear the weave relaxes slightly, stretching with body as it moves.
